Hindu Aid coordinates and facilitates the aid and development work of Hindu organisations in the United Kingdom. It is the premiere Hindu organisation that provides Development Education training aimed at British Hindus
 
Hindu Aid’s Mission

Hindu Aid’s mission is captured in the Sanskrit verse: dasyam danam dayadhvam: serving, sharing, caring. Hindu Aid draws upon the values of compassionate benevolence and service to those who are suffering. These values are enshrined in the universal teachings of the ancient Hindu traditions.

 
Objectives of Hindu Aid

Hindu Aid aims to increase the effect of aid and relief reaching the people who use it the most by coordinating the efforts of Hindu organisations engaged in development work. Some of the projects of particular interest to Hindu aid include:-

  • Poverty alleviation
  • Medical care to those who need it the most
  • Primary education (with special emphasis on the girl child)
  • Potable drinking water for everyone
  • Orphanage and child care
  • Relief for natural disasters
